Barcelona are once again lamenting their luck when it comes to injured players, and few players deserve it more than Ansu Fati. The 22-year-old has now suffered a hamstring problem after missing nearly two months with a foot injury earlier in the season.
Barca confirmed Fati will be out for around four weeks after discovering the problem during training on Wednesday. While they did provide more details, the pause indicated a secondary muscle tear.
The young forward will miss games against Celta Vigo (away), Brest (home), Las Palmas (home), RCD Mallorca (away), Real Betis (away) and Borussia Dortmund (away) game. He will also be unavailable for his seventh home game against Leganes.
This leaves Barcelona a bit short upfront, with Paulo Victor and Rafinha their only available forwards, with Lamine Hjalmar, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres also injured . Dani Olmo and Fermín Lopez can play further forward, while Lewandowski should be back for the next game against Celta Vigo.
